Currently living in Nevada, Emily got her start in photography in 2004 while living and traveling in China. She started out taking the usual picture of this or that, but after the 100th temple picture, she had to figure out how to liven things up a bit. Inspired by Heather Armstong from dooce.com Emily began to seek out new angles and basked in the use of mostly natural light. In 2006, she made the move to a digital SLR by purchasing Canon's 30d. Her portfolio includes weddings, portraits, and countless photos of her poor, helpless dogs. Her husband, on the other hand, manages to stay as far away from the lens as possible.

Fun Fact

Emily is a self-proclaimed procrastinator who contradicts herself by preferring to be early to events and meetings.

Having always been interested in photography Ashley was thrilled when she found herself the winner of a brand new digital SLR camera from an online giveaway. First inspired by Jeff Newsom she started out by doing photography tutorials over the internet and taking photos for friends and family. Ashley received her first paying job taking headshot photographs for a local actor in the summer of 2005. As word of mouth began to spread she eventually launched her own website and small freelance photography business.

Fun Fact

Ashley is a theater geek that loves grilled cheese sandwiches and her dogs Burrito and Chloe.

Colleen

After 4 years of working under the florescent lights in her little cubicle, Colleen knew that she was meant for something else. In 2007, she picked up an outlet for her creative side and purchased her first digital SLR. She quickly became familiar with her camera and started taking portrait shots for her family and friends. In January 2008, her life took an unexpected turn and she was laid off from her job. Realizing that this was a blessing in disguise, Colleen has now started her own photography business and is currently working on making it her lifelong career.

Fun Fact

Colleen secretly has an unhealthy obsession with Jeremy Piven and drinks 6 cups of black coffee a day.
